VisaRoute Guide is built to help backpackers plan smarter. This page explains what data may be collected and why.

Email updates

If you enter your email before opening the app, it may be used to send VisaRoute updates, new guides, postcode notes and backpacker tips. You can choose to skip the popup and open the app without entering an email.

Email submissions are currently handled through FormSubmit and delivered to the VisaRoute email inbox.

Analytics

VisaRoute may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand visits, app opens, download clicks, article clicks and app install events. This helps improve the product and understand what backpackers actually use.

Advertising and affiliate links

VisaRoute Guide may add Google AdSense or affiliate links in the future. Ads and affiliate links will be kept light, relevant and separated from the main app experience.
